Trey Russell is currently a Sr. Manager on Disney Streaming's Media Product team, where he is responsible for the product roadmap and strategy of playback quality of experience, targeting, and distribution. Trey Russell is currently a Sr. Manager on Disney Streaming's Media Product team, where he is responsible for the product roadmap and strategy of playback quality of experience, targeting, and distribution. He joined BAMTECH in the summer of 2017, following a 12-year career as a US Army officer. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, Elaine, and two children, Edward and Eisley. After graduating high school, Trey followed his father's footsteps into military service, graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2005 as a commissioned US Army Field Artillery officer. Following a year in South Korea, Trey deployed with the 101st Airborne Division to Afghanistan in 2008 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, serving as Fire Support Officer for A/2/506th Infantry Regiment. Following this deployment, he successfully completed Special Forces Assessment & Selection and was selected to continue training in the Special Forces Qualification Course. In 2012, Trey graduated from SFQC and earned the coveted Green Beret. As a Special Forces officer, he served in the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), where he commanded a Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. After finishing his command, he deployed to Afghanistan once more in 2015 as the Chief of Current Operations for NSOCC-A in Kabul. His awards include the Special Forces tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf, Afghan Campaign Medal, Airborne, and Air Assault wings.
