I believe that the only way to solve humanity's greatest challenges is to empower smart, talented & virtuous people to build companies & technologies that will positively change the world.
As Head of Global Operations for the Founder Institute, I led the operations team that launched over 6,000 Portfolio Startup Companies across 200 Cities with a Global Mentor Network of over 25,000 Mentors. Under his leadership, Ryan has directly launched 600+ Startups that have raised $200M+ in Funding with an enterprise value of over $2B through his work at Founder Institute Silicon Valley, Toronto and Vet-Tech.
As Managing Director of FI's flagship Silicon Valley Advanced Technology Accelerator, Ryan built the program and partnership with NASA Ames that helps founders from around the world build companies using Advanced Technologies in Space, AI, Quantum Computing, and other industries.
Since 2012, Ryan has led the national military veteran entrepreneurship movement, starting in Silicon Valley by cofounding Vet-Tech, the nation's first startup accelerator for military veterans, leading the creation of the "Veteran Founder Initiative" at Founder Institute, and eventually Cofounding "The Veteran Fund," an early stage VC Fund that invests in Military Veteran and Dual-Use Tech Startups.
Ryan lives in the SF Bay Area with his wife and 3 kids and enjoys family time hiking, backpacking, camping and meditating.
